I love this! But...let's take up a collection to send John some fruits and vegetables. Methinks the critters eat better than he!

Good one. A day in the desert is better than a day in the city by far.

Thanks for not mentioning my dirty coffee cup...yet.

Your dirty cup made me laugh big time, then the ticking clock made me forget all about it till the end when I read your comment. LOL again.

Maybe the greenhouse project needs to be revived ? It's certainly tempting to be laid back in West Texas; take it from me here in Marathon.

Sorry about all those postings. Accident. TY John. That was a cute video. O.K., I thought you quit smoking. Watch the booze. Clean your coffee cup. It seems cold in there in the morning like camping. Why does only one side of your heater work. I know you would keep things safe. Looks like you have some good mailboxes now. That is good to get out in the morning (but I do not remember that gas station myself). I remember the little grocery. The Park Ranger was in there talking about how he got rid of the old woman camping. And I popped out and said, "you mean me?''

Your truck started up so well. Mine wheezed, gasped, shuddered two weeks ago and was towed to the Ford dealer. New truck too. Wires chewed up underneath. I think it was an Eastern North American Bunnie because there was a litter under my storage shed. Today I traveled to Honda dealer in San Antonio, bought Capsasion tape for wires and took tape to Ford dealer. These wires are soy based because of the environment. Creating havoc. Will be o.k. Waiting another two weeks for parts. Under warranty. My 2007 totaled Mitsubishi runs great.

The other thing I was warned about is the blasted dust-sand. I just quit on that. Life is too short. We have a lot in the country here by San Antonio. I have computer cleaner that I sometimes spray on some things. Every once in awhile I take some good swipes at it with a cloth or vacuum (don't tell anyone). Mostly we do not mention it. (I keep all my clothes in plastic bags or they are ruined by the dust).

God bless John and TFL.

I was a machinist's mate in the navy, CVN-68..EM02-engine room 2. My Chief had a black-on-the-inside coffee cup also. I asked him about it one day while he was quizzing me on a new watch station exam. He said he had had that cup for at least 6 years and never washed it. Figured if he went to get a cup and it was out, he would just drain hot water from a steam draim off a piece of equipment and presto! coffee! lol had not thought about that for many years...
